Long-distance ultralight walking adventures

Longwalking is growing, and we appreciate your interest and support. We’re constantly adding stories and articles, focusing on ultralight backpacking solutions and long-trail travel through France and Spain (because it’s so much fun over there). Of course, the guiding principals of ultralight walking are the same everywhere. Wander through the Tag Cloud to explore whatever interests you.

You may come upon some missing trail signs or loose shoe laces, but it’s all starting to come together, even as our pack gets lighter – and then a little heavier, and then lighter still… – it’s fun turning a hobby into an Obsession.

Among the themes this year, is a new series about planning our 2011 walks in France.

We’ve also added the new RESOURCES section to start gathering all the best blogs, functional clothing, useful gear and cogent information sources together in one place. It’s just the tip of the iceberg, but we’re working to organize it all in a single place, so when we (and you) need something, we can find it. Send us your favorites, and help it grow!
